I LIKE MAKING STUFF

Pip has been drawing from the time she was a rug-rat and had enough grip in her chubby paws to hold a pencil, felt tip, crayon, paintbrush... you name it!.

Born in Wellington, New Zealand she’s down-to-earth and passionate and has always loved ‘making stuff’. She suffered and fought with anxiety and depression for many years and now resides in Melbourne, Australia. Although a qualified illustrator and copy writer, painting is her true obsession and release - the subject of people being one of endless fascination.

Working across a range of mediums from chalk and ink to acrylic and oils she's inspired by almost anything, from emotion to a series of colours. Her style varies greatly depending on her mood and subject matter.

A rather shy and awkward creature, she has trouble commercialising her work and is uncomfortable selling it to the 'wrong' kind of people. She wants her art to be at street level and affordable. She relishes mistakes and the thought process behind mark-making and colour mixing.
